Privacy policy
Version: 2026-10-23
This page explains how the Runes of Hallvor website, the game, and its feedback form process personal data.
In short: this website uses no cookies and no tracking, the game itself collects and sends nothing, and the feedback form sends me only what you enter, plus a technical excerpt of the game's log, through Google Forms.

The legal basis of each processing is given in its section below.
What I process and why
This website
- No cookies, no tracking, no analytics, and no external resources. Fonts, scripts, and images come from this site only
- Logging (storage) of your IP address, the date and time, the visited page, the status code, your browser (the "user agent string"), and the amount of data sent, by the web server and the hosting cluster. Logs are used for troubleshooting, performance analysis, abuse detection, and other purposes that keep the website stable and secure. They are kept for up to 3 years. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- When you open the start page without a language in the address, the web server reads the language setting that your browser sends (
Accept-Language) and redirects you to the English or German pages. Nothing is stored for this beyond the logs above.
The game
- The game itself collects and sends no data. There is no account, no telemetry, and no analytics. Saved games and settings are files on your own computer
- The game only opens links in your browser when you click a button, such as the feedback form, this website, or the Steam page. After that, the policy of the opened site applies
- If you get the game through Steam, the data that Valve processes falls under Valve's privacy policy, not this one
Feedback form
- The feedback form (Google Forms), opened by the game and from this website, is voluntary. It asks for your feedback text, your platform (operating system), the game version, an excerpt of the game's log (technical details such as the engine, the graphics card, and error messages), and, if you want an answer, your e-mail address. Please do not put personal data into the text that you do not want me to store.
- I keep your feedback for as long as it helps to improve the game, and you can ask me to delete the parts that contain personal data. Google may also process technical data of your visit, such as your IP address, under its own policy.
- Legal basis: your consent by sending the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
Recipients
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts this website
- Google (Google Ireland Limited, with transfers to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) provides the feedback form (Google Forms). See Google's privacy policy.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data. To use them, send an e-mail to the address above (I understand English and German).

- Erasure: you can have your data deleted, for example your feedback
- Restriction: you can ask me to restrict the processing
- Objection: you can object to processing that is based on my legitimate interests
